Hypo Alpe-Adria presents its “Dictionary of Economic Terms”
Society must always look to provide a decent academic and social education if it is to grow and prosper. However, although everyone has a right to an education, the standard of teaching materials or school equipment is not adequate everywhere. Many people cannot afford the support materials they so urgently need.
This is where Hypo Alpe-Adria comes in; and, by “helping people to help themselves”, helps to create autonomy – surely the most enduring form of help. With its “Dictionary of Economic Terms”, translated into six languages, the banking group has laid a foundation stone in 2011 in the area of education with regard to Corporate Social Responsibility. By commissioning the translation of the Business Dictionary, Hypo Alpe-Adria is supporting people with an interest in business and economics, such as students, business partners and entrepreneurs in South Eastern Europe and Italy. The Business Dictionary is being distributed in Belgrade, Zagreb, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Ljubljana and Udine. Copies for use by the general public are being given to public libraries and universities.
The objective of this campaign is to support education and self-improvement on a cross-border scale. It is intended that the Business Dictionary will help to create a common understanding for global business languages as well as business networking and development.
The “Dictionary of Economic Terms” has been published in the following languages:
